About Me

I’m Angie, a 26 year old queer artist (he/they) and webwhatever based in the US. You might know me as star, or maru, or starry_maru... I’ve been drawing for over a decade. Art is my entire life! I enjoy drawing my little OCs and thinking about cool backstories. I’m currently writing the script for a webcomic for them! I also regularly attend my city’s figure drawing class and used to be heavily involved in 4chan’s /i/ Oekaki board before moving here.

I made this website as a personal creative archive! The content here is mainly illustrations, animations, and short writings centered around my main OC universe, HEXAQUEST. Everything here is 100% fictional, but my characters have some aspect of me embedded in them. You can do whatever with them, but please be respectful.

I’ve taken HTML classes in elementary school, but never really did anything with what I learned until 2023, when I made a very rudimentary site on neocities, just to see if I could. I didn’t start to ramp up until mid-2026, when I realized I needed to have a place to showcase my creative works that isn’t discord or twitter. I take inspiration for layouts from visiting other artists’ personal sites.

I follow the philosophy to “make it exist first, make it good later”.
